Craig, you continue to be wrong, because you insist on arguing with **no basis

False. Once again, I have to repeat things. Think of WiFi as nothing more than
a fan-out box for an Internet broadband link. Period.
VoIP is a *service*, as in, "app." Read up on the OSI protocol layers. Defining
individual sessions occurs at layer 5, which in practice means, that aspect is
shrink-wrapped in the same software as the "app." IP is layer 3. WiFi is layers
1 and 2.
If some service (i.e. app) maintains seamlessness over large areas, DO NOT JUMP
to the conclusion that this seamlessness is occurring at layers 1 or 2. You
jumped to this false conclusion, and continue to insist even after I explained
it. This is why I say that you added up 2 and 2, and got 6.
Case in point. If an "app" uses the IP addresses of the source and destination
(and Port ID and Protocol ID), to define a session, and you move to a different
IP connection, you are often going to be out of luck. If the IP address of
either side changes suddenly, because you moved, that app will die. But
instead, if the app uses other means to identify and differentiate sessions,
headers at layer 5 and above, then a switch of IP addresses *may* not pose a
problem.
And there are also other techniques to achieve this seamlessness, at layer 3,
that may be used. Search under "mobile IP" or "mobile ad-hoc networks."
I gave you a hint, and as always, you preferred to continue arguing instead of
educating yourself. The hint was, even Ethernet links can support apps that may
behave this way. Your reaction should have been, how is this possible?
Certainly there is no hand-over protocol for Ethernet, right? And then you
should have spent some quality time informing yourself. It is not as you think.
Don't jump to conclusions just because you read some vague article.

Missed it COMPLETELY again. The congloms are blocking local affiliates
from making their content available via the Internet. CBS does have a deal
with
some affiliates to offer local broadcasts via a CBS All Access subscription.
Other than that, you may be SOL if you want local stations.
This is false, Craig, and I didn't miss anything. Let me remind you what you
asked:

The growing number of households using only a neutral Internet connection, to
get TV content, is why these TV networks are increasing and improving their
online presence, Craig. I remind you: they have been doing this going on 11
years. Where have you been?
The congloms offer their content online **already**, without enlisting any help
from the local affiliates. So, no problem. And if they don't, they CAN. It's
entirely up to them, and no one else. The Internet is mandated to be neutral.
This is a non-problem.
Also local stations can offer their own content, belonging to them, online too!
And they do! They need no permission from anyone else EITHER. The Internet is
neutral.
The fact that CBS may have created a package deal, for their own content and
the local affiliate's, is just an irrelevant detail. In no way does this imply
that people cannot get access to TV network and local station content, by using
the Internet.
