Thanks, Mark. I think I had already seen that video, but the numbers made more 
sense this time around.

Some time ago, maybe as much as a year ago, I saw HDR at Best Buy, in one of 
their darkened rooms ("Magnolia" they call it). It was quite good, enough to be 
obviously better than standard HD. The sets they were demoing on were really 
expensive, and the smallest one was 55".

I think this is going to be the same sort of argument as HD in its early days. 
Whether or not a user can achieve the FULL benefit of the new medium is 
probably not so important. Just like HD back when, the effect was striking 
enough, even in less than ideal conditions. I think ultimately, that's all that 
matters.
