Which is why I wrote in my original post, first sentence:

"That's the word: sparkle. Sparkle I think best describes what to expect from 
HDR images, that's lacking in SDR video."

This is dynamic range, not the size of pixels. The fact that HDR comes with the 
better 4K sets, and not with HD sets, is incidental. As you did notice, though, 
even cheaper SDR 4K sets have the advantage of less visible pixels, up close. 
But that has nothing to do with the sparkle.
