That's the best way to completely kill off OTA, by changing the OTA standard to something that nobody has tuners for, and by forcing broadcasters to either simulcast or flash cut to a new standard, investing in new equipment.


Are we going to have another round of subsidized "government cheese" boxes for the few remaining holdouts?

Sounds like Commissioner Baker is the only one to have mentioned changing the ATSC standard to "MPEG-4," as she calls it, OFDM, and to look into "a cellular infrastructure."
