Unless you change the name of the archive.pst everytime you do it, it will
just keep adding to that file....and, as far as size limits go...a pst is a
pst...if archive.pst gets to be 2 gig, Outlook won't open it.

Yeah, that's what I meant -- deleted rather than archived.  I do think
it would be a smart idea for me to archive my sent items, and I am going
to start doing that, but the real reason I'm loath to archive is that
old habits die hard and I'm so used to having everything right there for
me to look at immediately.  The reality is that I don't need that stuff
most of the time, so I'll probably just reset it so it archives it for
me.

I do have a question about that, though: suppose I set it to archive
once every 30 days.  Will it replace the previous archive file each
time, or does it start accumulating archive files each time it runs the
procedure?  Also is there a limit to how big an archive file can be?
