Hi Linda, My Outlook file is 137,000 KB so nowhere near 2Gig, so that's good. I think what was happening is that even though I didn't have it set to AutoArchive that folder, it was still deleting items over 6 months old because I didn't actually have "do not archive items in this folder" selected. I figured that having nothing selected would prevent the deleting, but I guess not. I made a .pst file yesterday so now I know I have a good backup as of the end of the day yesterday, and I guess I'll have to just remember to do .pst's pretty regularly. Anyway that's what I tell my clients to do so I should practice what I preach! Thanks for your help, Elise -----Original Message----- From: Linda F. The other thing you can do is start archiving the sent items folder now...then the older sent items WILL be in your archive.pst and you will never lose them again.=20 Linda F. I'm afraid I've lost all my sent mail older than six months! I see that's an option but as I said in my previous posting, none of the AutoArchive settings are on so I'm baffled. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to=20 mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
