Yeah Peter, I understand that part of it, but I should think that well over 90% of potential or practicing offenders would have no record and, thus, not show up anyway, leading, as Fingers says, to a false sense of security. Over here one of the practices is to have workers sign a stat. dec. to the effect that they are not paedophiles - have a think about just how effective that is. I guess what I am saying is that neither method provides the slightest measure of protection for either a child or an innocent adult.
