Hi Rich and All,

The ultimate electric loco that I saw years ago in 3.5"gauge was a Class 52
Western with I think four Smiths Heater Motors in it.
That was a real shoe horn job.
Is the reason for sticking to 3.5" gauge a matter of size ie getting the
loco into the car?
As a suggestion, I built a 5" gauge electric loco some years ago which
splits in the middle for transport and when assembled you can't really see
the joint.The chassis joint is also stong enough for you to sit on it.
