Yes, the Associated Press article says that Bush spoke on Wednesday and that
this was the first time he had spoken on this matter.

Exactly when was this? The US 'condemnation' of the cartoons came
several days before the support to Denmark and only AFTER our
embassy in Syria was burnt down.
