Thank you for the description, now I have a better idea of what I may see
using this little beastie.;-)
After all the years of Leica touting "never put filters on Leica lenses"
and now they're offering 3 free filters is astounding to say the least. Naw
nothings changed it's still the same old mentality!
They should have the balls and fortitude to admit to the error and do a
re-call as the automobile industry when something is discovered after the
fact! They'd make far more owners happy and gather new owners simply by
illustrating they care about the camera owners and look after them above and
beyond other manufacturers! The positive publicity from that move alone they
couldn't buy!
It's the age old ....... "do onto others as you'd like them to do for you!"
They could go with something like..... "Leica Cares about their customers!".
Then do a world wide re-call biting the bullet cost and illustrating they're
right on top of the world in service while caring about their customers and
equipment. If they went with some kind of slogan like that they'd shake the
camera world and make a major jump over all the others.
Thanks for the info, I'll watch for IR as I hope to get a fair amount of
shooting done over the next few days. However!! I must confess I will take
my 20D as back-up and shoot some of the same subjects just in case as this
new book I'm putting pages together on needs to be finished by the end of
December.
Thanks again and yes I'll send some things from Chinatown hopefully by the
end of this week, what's left of it. But it's supposed to be dryer so at
least that's an incentive to get out! ;-)
