You are using the oft repeated mods?
Use the VFR Terrain Mesh and set the FS9.cfg file with an under
[TERRAIN] of Terrain_Max_Vertex_level=19
When using FSX I still use the VFR Terrain and have MESH_RESOLUTION set
to 25

Thank you for that Peter, but with only a 1 knot difference why go to
all that expense?
I have been approaching the farm strips at around 50kts, so I guess
I've been about right. What I could do with is a roller to get rid of
the bumps - I know they are not supposed to be flat, but I don't
believe they could be so lumpy in reality, you would get shaken to bits!
