Well, that's a point in favour of not having the shift key operating
thus. JAWS can only do so much... before Windows and the wiles of
Microsoft take over mastery.

Something I've just discovered is that, whilst in reading mode, if you
press
the same shift key five times, it activates sticky keys. What a voyage
of
discovery this subject has promoted.

Barry,
That's a good point. I usually use control to stop speech but perhaps I
should be using up arrow as sometimes control moves me a little way from
the
line where Jaws was speaking. This only seems to happen in Internet
Explorer though. When I pressed control when reading this email in read
all
mode Jaws stopped exactly where I pressed control.

In the test I just did I had to press the up arrow twice to get to the
line
above so either way it was still 2 key presses for me.

But I just found out that pressing the right arrow key has the same
effect
as right shift and the left arrow key the same as left shift. In other
words pressing the right arrow key when in say all mode moves to the
next
line and visa versa. But i would never have found this if i had not
been
testing the system. Not sure what to say next need time to think.

Thanks,
Nigel
It's not what Operating system you use, it's how productive you are with
it.
