I tried that, as I don't have time at the moment to dismantle it due 
to having to work. :{

The only difference it made was the HD light came on and stayed on and 
the screen stayed blank - no booting, no pyjamas.  I'll try removing 
boards this evening or over the weekend.  Does CJE carry either 
component I wonder (USB card and/or FX card)?
