Thanks Austin,
You're correct - that's the bounding box (shows the extents of the symbol) and
it's only displayed in the Component Browser and PCB Librarian. When you add
the part in DEHDL, you won't see this.
I don't believe there's any option to hide this in the Component Browser.

Hi,
Here is the picture of the dashed yellow box that shows up in the view or add
component.
It appears to be a "bounding box". In DxDesigner, there is a way to change
this easily. I can't find a way in ADE...
