every icon would open the proper application,

a camera icon would open BeCamera,

a scanner one would open the scanner application, when we'll have 
any :)

a printer icon would open the printer queue manager,

a disk one would open the Tracker

they would just have a "significant" icon, the manufacturer/model 
strings, and the path (e.g.: /dev/usb0),
then the most logical program could be opened when clicked onto

maybe network cards could be associated to the network
