Russ,
Thanks for all of the hints. As luck would have it we have a
separate, identical, new P91 to reference and that has been helpful for
comparison purposes. We also did an image backup of the new box prior
to any activity and we have been able to quickly and easily restore to
that condition using True Image. We have already done a Day0 -> Backup,
a Day 1 and application load -> Backup, and have been able to quickly
restore those images and reboot to get back to a those conditions.
I didn't realize that the Fiber NIC's were different between the
2800 and 2900's but we weren't going to try to swap them out anyway.
They were recognized as Broadcom NIC's when the box came back with plug
and play detection but I grabbed the driver setup files located in
\Drivers\Allied Telesys?? directory from the other new P91. The 2800
box we are trying to clone is only a host for our training CP's right
now so an initialize and reboot of them won't be an issue. We want to
make this cloned box a temporary Ver.8.4.2 host for 5 FCP's that we need
to upgrade to talk to migration and 200 series FBM's.
The registry might be an issue. I will find out today.
