Without a doubt you cannot mix standard images on an FDSI. There can only be one.... You can have Modbus or you can have Allen Bradley but not both. Unless you want to venture into the world of custom FDSI's, and the last time I looked into that route (4 years ago) we were talking at least 25K for an alpha and you still had to buy the license after development. In addition there are very strict memory constraints that would probably negate a "two-fer" technically anyway. But if you feel lucky I know a guy that knows a guy that could give it a run. Another doubt regarding the FBM230 is: Can I have one port interfacing DH+ network (via a KF2) and another port communicating with a Modbus evice? Or would I need two independent FBM230 for that? The PSS says: The FBM230 has four ports - each can be ndividually configured in software for RS-232, S-422 or RS-485. This provides a single FBM230 he flexibility to connect to multiple similar but not dentical devices." regards, - onato Azevedo ______________________________________________________________________ his mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process ystems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
