Evidentally Gnucash is a similar program as SQL-Ledger has a conversion for datafiles -- GNUCash (gnc-2.0) Convert GNUCash to SQL-Ledger GL. If the header in the XML file says <gnc-2.0> then you can use it as is, if not modify the script. It is fairly simple to add fields for other versions. You also need XML::Simple for the script. Save gnc20.perl as gnc20.pl and run from the command line. -- > -----Original Message----- > From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of John Madden > Sent: Friday, July 08, 2005 4:54 PM > To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [CTS] Re: Speaking of Linux... > > > On Friday 08 July 2005 01:55 pm, Russ Blakeman wrote: > > John probably can answer this - looking for a suitable replacement for > > Quickbooks/QB Pro for Linux or even Linux and Winders that can read my > > present QB Pro 2003 data files.
