Dear Sir,

Some time ago I left my name on this newsgroup, but now would like to be
removed. I don't even remember the web address. If you could direct me I
would really appreciate it.

Brian

I've just read through it, and it sounds really similar to the GPL, but they

don't clearly define "derivative work" as well as the GPL, so it looks like
the real show-stopper with using this to build the kernel would be in
getting
commercial support (which would be beneficial to the momentum of the system
since this would make it possible for draftsmen to switch without a learning

curve (switching office apps is one thing, but switching cad apps is nearly
impossible for the old hands)).

I'd like to see some commercial products which are using openCascade, which
would help evaluate the license from a legal standpoint (not that I'm a
lawyer, but I play one on the internet:)

I haven't really looked at it from a technical standpoint. This would also
be
(of course) important. Any comments on the technical merits?
