Oh--You as a validator can totally rewrite the short synopsis. Lots of times the scanner doesn't even write one--or had written a short synopsis without actually having read the book, and I've found it's totally misleading. If the short synopsis doesn't briefly describe the booi or isn't well-written (in my opinion) I rewrite it--and only occasionally have I found one that is good. More often there isn't any.
