When I connect it to the laptop which recognizes and transfers files fine I
don't have to reset or pull the batteries out, but I too get this locked up
problem with the desktop which doesn't recognize it. Not only does it lock
up, but it runs the batteries in the process of being locked up.
Unfortunately I went through three sets of batteries before I realized this
occurrence. Oh well. I'd rather loose a set or two of batteries than have to
send it in to be repaired or replaced.
