Well I have sort of done this. On my system I have a dual boot OS setup. The second OS is just another version of XP Pro which I don't muck with. I am a real fiddler and tweaker and sometimes ruin things and have to wait for sighted help in safe mode and have the other backup OS. At the moment the only real difference in the other OS is that I have not installed xp service pack 2 upgrade. It has obviously identical processor, memory, usb ports and devices etc. I just went over to it, installed the transfer software and presto bookport is recognised and works perfectly on that second OS. Come back to my main OS and the software just doesn't recognise it. I am now guessing service pack2 has reacted with my system. I will have to uninstall service pack2 to test this theory. After I do some backups I will test this out. Dale.
