A faster processor on the bookport isn't likely to speed up conversion of audio files from places like daisy books; the fastest chip on a portable without a fan and heatsink and a lot of batteries behind it isn't going to hold a candle to a modern desktop. I'd settle for usb2 support, fixing the audio channels, making the recording beep use the external buzzer and a decent replaceable belt clip. More processing power on the unit is likely to radically shorten battery life; my wife's pda sure won't run 20-40 hours on a charge!
