Yes. That could be useful. The only drawback is that if it doesn't
record, then you need speech to find out the error message (that
happened to me earlier this week.

Somebody mentioned the idea of making the recording beep audible
without headphones. Since the buzzer is there, this seems quite
possible. It'd sure make the bp a lot more useful for recording
memos.
