Have to agree there, just my opinion, plugging in the book port seems to me
to defeat the purpose.
As for rechargeable batteries, I just bought a charger for double A
batteries that will charge them independently without any use of the book
port.

Hi Richard and list:

I only know portability was one of the main reasons I own one. The last
thing I want is another AC adapter to keep track of, not to mention convert
from 110 to 240 Volts, etc.
