Tis very true! DoubleTalk has always ranked near the bottom of my list of
favorite synths, and I always wndered if the people who liked DoubleTalk speech
had a hearing problem. But, truth is, whether you like a particular
synthesizer or not is very subjective, and just because I may not like it
doesn't mean that I should criticize someone else who does like it.

Lois is right though; by playing with the pitch, and the verious voices in
DoubleTalk on the Book Port you can make it sound bearably good. But, I would
still vote for Dectalk myself.

: Don't be afraid to experiment with pitch and speed settings of the bookport
: speech. I found that you can actually have a fair bit of useful inflection
with
: it. Have fun!
