There is no question that there is better speech in the world. However,
I have read so much with the Bookport that what I am thinking about when
I read is the novel and/or nonfiction book that I am reading, not the
fact that the speech isn't human sounding; it doesn't even cross my mind
anymore. I know how difficult this can be, for example no matter how
hard I try I cannot deal with the Keynote speech one would find as the
default speech synthesizer on a Braillenote.

Don't be afraid to experiment with pitch and speed settings of the
bookport
speech. I found that you can actually have a fair bit of useful
inflection with
it. Have fun!
