I've been listening to the bookport speech for so long and I read so
much, that I actually seem to hear inflection in the double-talk speech.

Listen to the Bookport long enough, and you will actually begin to
like the Double-talk. Perhaps there is a new Bookport in the
designing stage. We don't know what the plans are. Don't be too
critical. The Bookport doesn't cost a lot of money like the
Packmate does. Also remember, both Elloquence and the AT&T voices
are memory hogs. By the way, do you own a Bookport? I don't mean
to be critical, but if you did, I'm not so sure you would complain
so strenuously. For the money, the BP is the best piece of
assistive technology out there.

reading device. I think that the APH engineers should work on a
more realistic voice synth for the Bookport. Due to the fact that
realistic synths are not as expensive as before and are more

Eloquence voice synth software and the ATT Real speak software are
some great voice synthesizers. I possess a Pacmate and a Voicemate
