Thank you James.
I will call them today. I love the Bookport and hate to be with out it for any
length of time but at the same time it needs to work to its ability.

Hope

.Hello Hope:
.It sounds as though you may need to return your Book Port. So APH can take a
look at it to determine if the hardware is not functioning properly. You
should not be getting this kind of static.

.I am not complaining. I love the Bookport. However, I am having some
difficulty with quite a bit of static when listening and also when recording.
.
.I tried new ear buds and they helped a little at first. It seems that the more
I use it the more static I get. It sounds like I am listening to a radio
station that does not come in clearly.
.Mind you, I am not complaining. I am happy with the transfer software and the
portability. I have no trouble with Doubletalk it works well. I have changed
the frequency and voices. The static is now occurring when I listen to audio
MP3'S.
.
.Any advise would be appreciated.
.Hope

..Skip is horrid! My friend Amanda likes him, though. She adjusts the pitch
..and frequency all the way up. It has a hell of a lot of inflection, but my
..dear sweet Perfect Paul (LOL) left at default except rate which is changed
..to 6 is my prefference. I got my book port in 2004,...I think. The School
..for the blind here in TN started giving them to students like myself, and
..they were a really big hit. I love mine! I use rechargeable alcoline (is
..that how you spell that?) batteries bought from Radio shack. They work
..wonderfully!
