Thanks, Cindy and Julie. It doesn't have end of line indicators, but just goes to the next line when the cursor is moved. That is one of the settings Pratik gave me--that is, show file extensions should be on. Also, show hidden files should be chosen by hitting the spacebar. Also, simple view should be off. These may be for screen reader users. I should add that the settings about which he was speaking are in "folder options". There is a list of 18 radio button settings in my version. Windows Classic should be checked as well. I got side-tracked, but this file does say RTF despite the shorter llines.
