Hi, I second what Judy has said. I ditto that, Valerie and others. Don't let these ridiculous actions get you down. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy s." <cherryjam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Valerie, I'm sorry that the inability of a few volunteers here has made you reach this decision, and ask you to reconsider.

If anyone poaches anything of yours, then I'll be honored to be first in line to stand with you and get the situation corrected.

You've done so much for readers who are waiting for books on the wish list. Don't let a few volunteers who have the mistaken belief that rules are only for others, or for times when they're convenient for them, ruin it for you or for the many who you have so willingly and generously helped out since becoming a volunteer.

Robert;

Well, you need to know what you are commenting on, then. And,
yes, I feel I have a right to be offended. Over the past year
I have invested all of my fun money in buying books to add
that I want to read that were requested and no one was doing.
Proofreading is my fun and I actually prefer it to reading.
The policy was softened after feedback about the brief period
so that those of us with extenuating circumstances can still
work on the books we bought or dealt with library systems as
well as series partnerships. I have worked with a few
excellent scanners who I have sent books to or I do them as
their library gets them and some times they come in waves. I
may not have any for a month and then 6 in a week. I still
think since I bought them for the specific purpose of adding
them I should be able to proof them.

I will try to refrain from looking at new wishlist items and
help the few people I have already promised books to and just
do mine from here out.

Valerie
