Valerie, I agree with what others have posted. You and Doug are extremely valuable and wanted and needed volunteers. With the 5-book limit, a proofer can't always download books that a scanner may want a that person person to proof, or that the person, like you and some others, have bought to scan and proof.I don't have any books with holds on them for me because I have the books in my pile; but neither can I help by taking a book that may need a page or two rescanned, or just need chapter titles, or missing words found. Wish List (i.e., books wanted added to the collection) and books-being-scanned list available at sites below Wish List: https://wiki.benetech.org/display/BSO/Bookshare+Wish+List Books Being Scanned List: https://wiki.benetech.org/display/BSO/Books+Being+Scanned+List --- On Mon, 3/1/10, Judy s. <cherryjam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: Judy s. <cherryjam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: The hold discussion > To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Monday, March 1, 2010, 11:36 AM > Valerie, I'm sorry that the inability > of a few volunteers here has made you reach this decision, > and ask you to reconsider. > > If anyone poaches anything of yours, then I'll be honored > to be first in line to stand with you and get the situation > corrected. > > You've done so much for readers who are waiting for books > on the wish list.
