on the fold up canes. the things that usely go on me is the strings. and it usely breaks in between the joints, or where you rap the string around your cane. to keep it closed, thats where it usely breaks on me, and i have had it happen where the joints get stuck, and can't pull it apart. i ended up getting my self an altra light folding cane. and i like that one better the joints don't get stuck on me, and the string hasn't broken on me, and i have had this altra light folding cane for quite some time now.
