I've now had a chance to do an initial try-out of the 3rd Gen Scarlett 2i2
with my ARMX6.
Short report: Seems to work very well. :-)
Longer: Colin had asked me to send him the USB descriptor responses it
gives *before* performing the 'magic' process Focurite told me to carry out
for it to work above 48k sample rate on a non-Windows machine. So I did
that.
Out of curiosity I decided to try my copy of !USBScope 2.03 to see what
happened.
It worked and ran at 96k/24! :-) This was the rate I'd asked for via the
'settings' file. So I changed that to 192k and had another go. It duly ran
at 192k. :-))

This is using a 0dBFS 5kHz test tone from a test CD. The level of the gain
controls on the 2i2 are set to *just* under the input clipping point. And
the distortion level is quite low.
So it seems to work very nicely "out of the box". No need for any magic
resetting process. Know more later...
