I have no need of audio on RISC OS at the moment, but I was curious to see
if my somewhat uncommon interface would work with it. It's a Mackie Onyx
Producer 2-2 and I've never tried it on the ARMX6 as I keep it permanently
connected to my 'creative' PC for music and video work.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that USBScope found it straight away. It
has standard XLR/jack inputs and so the only item I have that I could try it
with is a Sennheiser MD735 mic. The screen output is attached. I've never
used an oscilloscope so I don't know if this is what would be expected or
not, but it might add to your body of knowledge.
I've had the Mackie for a couple of years now and I love it. I previously
used a Scarlett Solo but it kept blowing one of the capsules in my
Sennheiser phone and at £60 a pop it started to get expensive after the
third time. (It was always the right one that blew so it wasn't just normal
wear and tear). The Mackie is built like a tank, performs flawlessly, and as
an added bonus has a MIDI input so I was able to dispense with my separate
MIDI interface.
