I was under the impression that Opera was 32-bit. I stand corrected. :) > JS support doesn't work as well, mainly due to script sizes exceeding mem > ory allocation, as well as new function calls in later editions. And that is getting worse - I read somewhere recently that JS is getting extended. :( > In DOS, it may be only 32 bit code is available for SSL, don't have any ide > a on JavaScript. Never seen a DOS browser with JS support. JS - no, neither have I. But SSL - yep ! I have just been experimenting with calling "Links -g" and Elinks from within Arachne - and they work just fine. This gives Arachne a "helper" to deal with SSL pages. Links still has a memory leak on my machine, but Elinks is performing exceptionally well. I never could get the Lynx call to work, so I have replaced that button on the "Save as" screen with a call for Elinks, and it is running perfectly. That's what I meant about work-arounds for Arachne SSL. JS is another matter. I can get navigation and media hyperlinks from inside JS sections using NEmedia, but I haven't looked any further than that yet.
