I have been reading all the stuff on hat back problems and just had to
throw my hat in the ring. Did some hat backs recently and I used the
15cm hoop. Made a tool that clamps to my desk to hold the outer ring in
place. I place a piece of tear away on the ring, I open the hat back,
let it lay out flat with only about 1/2 the opening of the hoop covered,
position the hat and press, pretty much ready to go.. I don't try to get
the whole hat in the hoop.
I also took a laundry marker and drew lines on all my hoops at 1/2"
intervals. Makes lining up a breeze.
