One of the most helpful things I have done is to draw, with a sharpie, marks
at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock pints on my hoops. Never thought of
graduations on them.

I also took a laundry marker and drew lines on all my hoops at 1/2"
intervals. Makes lining up a breeze.
