Hi,

Doing a bit of research, I think you may need to do the following:

1. Go into Windows 2000, get the latest BIOS file for your board, and
do a upgrade. There are Windows and Dos upgrades available, I prefer
using a bootable floppy, but that is a personal choice. It will need
sighted help.

2. When the bios updates, go into the setup, restore system defaults by
pressing f9, and then press f10 to save and exit configuration.

3. Use the Intel network drivers installer under Windows XP.

Also, be absolutely sure you are using the right motherboard (are you
sure you have this mobo, and that it hasn't been modified by another
manufacturer)?

The latest BIOS for that board is Dec 02 2004, so I doubt very much that
you have that version.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for that.

I thought that 1930 connection may have been something to do with it.

I have no other network devices listed in device manager.

I have been getting the drivers from the intel web site. The network
card is an onboard one so I got all the software for the mobo which is a
d875pbz.

Do you think it could be that this board is not xp compatible?
