Hi Andy. But remember that Caroline told us a couple of days ago, she is able to select What you Hear, using her Soundblaster X-Fi external card?
Perhaps it's only a matter of upgrading our sound cards?I was actually thinking of upgrading to Soundblaster Platinum, as this had both Optic out and in. I'm a bit unsure of this as I do not wish to spend over £100 only to find out that my Hewlett Packard is to blame ..
Need much more information. Best wishes. Andy Andy.----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Carol - Having got Goldwave recording streems fine from my XP machine, I've just been trying to do the same on my Vista laptop, but when I look under thevolume tab under prefereences in Goldwave, There is just a list of hardwaredevices, such as speakers, mic, headphones, there is no mono/stereo check box as there is on my XP machine, this may be about my sound card on myVista machine more than about Vista itself, but either way, I can't record astreem on the laptop! Gold wave does play other recorded files under Vista though! - Andy----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Pearson" <carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, March 31, 2008 6:03 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: VISTA and recording with GoldWave | You could contact the guy who writes the software for GoldWave and see what | he says about Vista.
