Hi Andy,

Have you explored "Volume Mixer" in Vista.  For example, I
can be listening to a CD playing, while also playing Spider
Solitaire, and by going into Volume Mixer, I can Mute or
Reduce the sound level produced by the card game.

I've not explored this with JAWS as I've yet to install it
on this Vista system, so it's rather unknown territory in
that area.
