David, check for open r424 causes q402 to run hot and shorten life. Also
check for intermitting high resistance joint on c 406 in the horz.tank
circuit.
also suspect c423 (.016uf c425 .39 uf c426. cr411 cr412 c431,c432,c433,
when HOT is found shorted. These are just a few things that might help.
