LOL funny thing is.. last litter, i spoke to a buyer every week, we got to
know each other and i had to take the litter to my friends in IL to see who i
might keep etc... they have a good eye, well the girl from OR met me in IL and
took the puppy from there.. how kewl was that???? i knew she was the perfect
home when i spoke to her on the phone the first time BUT i wanted to continue
speaking and she wanted to get to know me... needless to say she calls or
emails once a week... and is a very good friend AND was showing her puppy who
happened to go VP1 at a show :) this was a companion home who got bit by
the
Sch Bug lol
Another family drove 6 hrs round trip 3 times before they brought home their
puppy...very very nice family.. experienced GSD home.. they did go against a
few suggestions and in hindsight said they wished they listend to me.. but now
things seem to be fine :) and i tell everyone too, " you are going to do
what you want, but this is what i would do" kind of thing...
I personally would feel like a "store" not getting to know the folks for
awhile i guess. an hour conversation just personally didnt feel right,
although
good feeling about them, i guess i just feel very responsible for these puppies
and want to make sure folks are responsible enough too...i work with RESCUE
and i guess i want to help keep the population down.. i am guessing in
time, i will toughen up like ya'll, maybe lol
