[2] (Grand Master Disciplines) Section now reads "This Discipline enables a Grand Master to become supremely efficient in the use of all weapons. When you enter combat with one of your Grand Master weapons, you add 5 points to your COMBAT SKILL. The rank of Kai Grand Defender, with which you begin the Grand Master [sic--should be itals] series, means you are supremely efficient in the use of two of the weapons listed below. For each book that you complete in the Grand Master [sic--should be itals] series (13-20), you will gain mastery of an additional weapon. For example, if you complete 'The Plague Lords of Ruel' [sic--shouldn't have quotes, should be itals] and have the Grand Master Discipline of Grand Weaponmastery at the beginning of the next Grand Master [sic--should be itals] book, you can choose an additional Weapon and add it to your list of those with which you are supremely efficient." Consuming this at a later time will restore 3 ENDURANCE points." with "Eagerly, you pick and swallow a handful of these Floroa before leaving this chamber (restore 3 ENDURANCE points; you may eat only one handful of the Floroa Fungi at this time. Ingesting more than a handful in any three-hour period will induce vomiting and negate its beneficial effects).

Superfluous, unlinked sections in 15tdc:

Currently, the PA edition of TDC lists two sections--72 and 194--as being unreachable and superfluous. Clearly, Joe Dever and the Mongoose team didn't think this was acceptable, so they have completely rewritten both these sections and placed them elsewhere in the game! I don't think we should follow suit on this one, but for the sake of completeness, here are the adjustments made:

==================================

Section 86:

If your total is now 4 or less, turn to 29.
If it is 5 or higher, turn to 287.

Becomes:

If your total is now 2 or lower, turn to 29.
If it is 3-5, turn to 72.
If it is 6 or higher, turn to 287.

==================================

Section 72:

As the beast keels over backwards and splashes into the mire, you roll Prarg on to his back then watch as the remaining Ciquali, now leaderless, turn away and disappear as quickly as they had come, slipping back to the cold, dark safety of their hiding places beneath the surface. Silence returns, and for a long moment you stay alert, suspecting trickery, then slowly you relax; they have gone.

Aided by your healing skills, Prarg makes a speedy recovery from the battering he sustained in combat with the Ciquali chieftain. The boat, too, has survived the attack and you are able to continue without further delay. As soon as you pass the obstruction, you hoist the sail and catch the prevailing wind which propels you northwards along the channel beyond.

You are hungry after your encounter. Unless you possess Grand Huntmastery, you must now eat a Meal or lose 3 ENDURANCE points.

To continue, turn to 322.

Becomes:

Unfortunately, you do not cast the spell fast enough to entirely block the Drakkar's arrow. You deflect it but its sharp point gouges your shoulder and knocks you flat on your back: lose 3 ENDURANCE points.

Using your innate healing skills, quickly you are able to staunch the bleeding. For nearly an hour you lie in the bottom of the boat staring at the grey sky, allowing the river to carry you downstream, and when eventually you pull yourself upright, you find that the Drakkarim renegades are no longer in sight.

Your voyage continues without further incident until, later in the afternoon, you catch sight of a town on the horizon. You check your map and discover it to be a fortified Drakkarim stronghold. As the river carries you closer, you magnify your vision and see that it is built upon the left bank of the Shug. A huge stone bridge spans the river, and beneath this you see that the waterway is blocked by a barrier of chained logs.

If you wish to allow your boat to drift towards this barrier, turn to 314.

If you decide to avoid the barrier, you can put ashore and continue on foot by turning to 231.

==================================

Section 345:

If your total is now 4 or less, turn to 269.
If it is 5 or more, turn to 77.

Becomes:

If your total is now 3 or lower, turn to 269.
If it is 4-6, turn to 194.
If it is 7 or more, turn to 77.

==================================

Section 194:

As the deadly shafts scream towards you and Prarg, you open your hand and thrust your palm into his back, pushing him aside. This swift action saves him from the first bolt, but it robs you of time in which to react to the second. It strikes and red-hot pain flares up your leg as the iron-tipped bolt gouges a deep furrow of flesh from the back of your calf: lose 4 ENDURANCE points.

Turn to 60.

Becomes:

Unfortunately, you are not swift enough to avoid being struck by the Drakkar's arrow. It hits you in the right shoulder and knocks you flat on your back: lose 3 ENDURANCE points.

Despite the pain, bravely you take hold of the arrow and wrench it from your flesh. Using your innate healing skills, quickly you staunch the bleeding and cleanse the wound. You are left shivering with shock and, for nearly an hour, you lie in the bottom of the boat staring at the grey sky. You allow the river to carry you downstream and, when eventually you pull yourself upright, you are relieved to discover that the Drakkarim renegades are no longer in sight.

Your voyage continues without further incident until, later in the afternoon, you catch sight of a town on the horizon. You check your map and identify it to be Konozod, a fortified Drakkarim stronghold.
