If we want to change some, can we come up with a rough idea of what sorts of
things we should leave as footnotes? For example, I think the footnotes in
79 and 242 look unnecessarily messy in the main body of the text as they are
purely clarifications of a game mechanic. On the other hand, Mongoose's
solution to 145 and 314 are less intrusive than a footnote. (Not helpful to
those of you who don't own the Mongoose editions, I know--sorry!)

What are those solutions to 145 and 314?

145: Add "(In this instance, do not restore 3 ENDURANCE points as a result of eating the Laumspur as normally would be the case. The dry leaves have acted as an emetic and made you throw up, evacuating the poison in your stomach.)" to the end of the first paragraph.

314: Delete "You have not eaten today and now you must eat a Meal or lose 3 ENDURANCE points." Change Option 3 to: "If you decide not to eat this food, you must eat a Meal or lose 3 ENDURANCE points and turn to 178."

Are you fixing these issues in the xml, Jon? As for the comment period, I wouldn't officially say it has been disregarded because others might have some comments to make. We just might take a few days longer than first thought. ;-)

I can list the Mongoose vs. footnotes stuff for Books 3-7 tomorrow (hopefully).
