One suggestion might be to figure out a way to inform all blind or visually impaired students at all High Schools and Universities of this list - perhaps through the Screen Reader companies or through tvarious State Agencies.

Hi,
This is where the mailing list comes in. In other words, we already have a system like this in place.
I'll be glad to help out if I can.
Cheers,
Joseph

Instead of trying to start an on-line school for blind programmers,
would it be possible to organize as a volunteer organization to mentor
people with vision impairments to become good programmers? For
example, you guys mostly had to figure it out on your own, so you can
say you've already trained one programmer. What if we try to get
people to train two? So, if several of us agreed to train one person
with a vision impairment for free, and over a long period of time, and
in return we ask those people do the same for two other people, could
we build a growing organization of mentors with vision impairments
large enough to make a real difference?
