SP2 has many critical updates built-in, but unfortunately you need to
validate for SP2 to take. Wish I could help on that. Any way of contacting
the person who put it on there?

Well yes I knew the short answer LOL
And the person that did this to the computer was not asked to and I had no
idea that's what they were doing.
As for installing critical updates I cannot get it to even do that as far as
I can tell. And it would not do a SP2 but is that one considered critical?
