-=PCTechTalk=- Re: Windows XP

Hi Cindy,
purchase a corresponding XP cd, if they have XP home you will need the XP=
 home version.
If it is XP Pro you will need XP Pro version.

Then follow Troth's instructions;

Download this, unzip and read it. It's a .doc file (MS Word). It'll explain
finding the bad key and replacing it with a new 'valid' key. NOTE: This is
not a check to bypass or activate an illegitimate XP copy. You still need=
 to
get a valid key. All this tells you is how to find the bad key, and how to
put the new key in.

Unzip password is: pctechtalk

Or purchase XP full version, from a retailer like Stapes or Best Buy it=
 will have SP2 included.

Boot the computer from the new CD and follow the instructions to perform a=
 clean install by formatting the drive.

You will loose everything on the hard drive that way!!
