Western Digital has seemed to go pretty good for me, so far. Might stick to that one in the future. Plus, I like their EZBios install disk much better (I know, not needed anyway with XP). :-) ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: nightsneak To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2003 10:16 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: HD Companies Troth, I am also in the process of replacing my second Maxtor hard drive because of failure. Both of them have gone out in less than a year, so they were both under warranty, but I did lose everything off this last hard drive. I won't be going for a Maxtor on my next hard drive, for sure. nightsneak ----- Original Message ----- From: "~OoO~" <SirTroth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2003 7:40 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: HD Companies > Its funny, cause I don't know anyone else that has had as many HD failures as I. 4 hard drives have gone bad in about 3 years span. I mean the entire drive don't go bad, but at least part of it goes bad... with the last one that I just discovered yesterday, on my 40GB Maxtor, that I lost 6GB. Maybe it has something to do with all the switch and bating I do with the drives very often, since they're sensitive to physical handling. > ---Troth To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
