Hi Robert, Saturday, January 24, 2004, 8:13:14 AM, you wrote: RM> Hmmmm, must be a special part of the country to get that high. So, if you get business service, you'll probably get a faster rate than consumer rate, but on the other hand, you generally pay for the exra speed. I'm able to get up to 3Mbs at night, but during the day I'm down as low as 256Kbs. I have no idea what speed you could get from cable if you had no limit and if you weren't sharing that particular channel with anyone else, but I'd be interested in knowing. Ditto for DSL, although I think the limit there is lower. To check your current speed, try this: http://webservices.cnet.com/Bandwidth/ I think there's a performance (overhead) difference on the computer side also, but I'm not sure which is better; will have to try it sometime to see. --Scott.
